The reality is that the Day of Ashura did not gain its virtue because of the martyrdom of Sayyiduna Hazrat Hussain (رضی اللہ عنہ); rather, Hazrat Hussain (رضی اللہ عنہ) himself attained an additional virtue by being martyred on this blessed day!
