Many came into this world as pure and deeply revered,

But none came like him, as a mercy to all the worlds.

May the sight of your resting place forever shine, and may its sacred grills remain secure,

May we too be blessed with the yearning of Abu Dharr, and the passionate devotion of Bilal.

The profound intellect is exhausted, yet your praise remains; the pen is blistered and weary, yet your praise remains.

The pages have completely run out, yet your praise remains; and the lifetime of writing is over, yet your praise remains.

The Call for the Final Journey

The Call for the Final Journey

One of the righteous people used to stand on the city wall every night and call out, "Let's go, the time for the caravan to depart has come!" When he passed away, the ruler of the city could no longer hear this voice. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he had died, so the ruler recited these poetic verses: مَا زَالَ يَلْهَجُ بِالرَّحِيلِ وَذِكْرِه حَتَّى انَاخَ بِبَابِهِ الْجَمَّالُ فَأَصَابَهُ متیقظا مُتَشَمِّرًا ذَا أَهْبَةٍ لَمْ تُلْهِهِ الْآمَالُ Translation of the verses: "He constantly remained engrossed with the call of departure and its remembrance, until the camel-driver (referring to the Angel of Death) camped at his very doorstep. Thus, he found him awake, alert, and fully prepared; false desires and hopes could not make him heedless."
