The King's Horn: A Powerful Lesson on Keeping Secrets and Spoken Words

The King's Horn: A Powerful Lesson on Keeping Secrets and Spoken Words

A king always kept his head covered. No one had ever seen him bareheaded. Many people tried to uncover this secret, but every time, the king would skillfully divert the conversation and avoid giving an answer. One day, his chief minister resolved to learn this secret. As usual, the king tried hard to distract the minister's attention, but the minister was determined to know. Finally, the king surrendered to the minister. However, he agreed to tell him on one condition: that he would not reveal it to anyone else. He also added that if the minister violated this condition, he would have to face severe punishment. The king revealed that there was a horn on his head, which was why he always kept it covered...! Only a few days had passed when the news spread across the entire city that the king had a horn on his head. The king became furious. He summoned his chief minister and, as a penalty for violating the condition, issued a royal decree that he be given the harshest punishment. The minister was very wise; he immediately said, "Your Majesty! When you, being the king, could not keep your own secret hidden, how can you expect me or anyone else to guard it? Therefore, you deserve as much punishment as I do." Moral: When words leave the tongue and an arrow leaves the bow, two things happen: First, they can never return, no matter how much you wring your hands in regret. And second, wherever they pass, they leave wounds according to their intensity and power, for which we can blame no one but ourselves. That is why it is said that as long as words remain inside you, they are your slaves. But the moment they are uttered, you become their slave. For the rest of your life, you have to honor your spoken words through your actions and character. ___________📝📝📝___________ Narrated. Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
