To instill the habit of generosity and empathy in your children, gift them a beautiful box with the word "Sadaqah" (Charity) written on it in large and clear letters.

Gently explain to them:

"If you receive 10 rupees daily, keep 9 rupees for your own use and put 1 rupee into this 'Sadaqah Box'. When this box fills up with 10 rupees in 10 days, buy something worth 10 rupees and give it to a poor or needy friend."

With time, as their pocket money increases, keep guiding them to gradually increase the amount of charity as well.

Insha'Allah! Through this practice, the ability to feel others' pain will develop in their hearts, generosity and empathy will become part of their nature, and they will grow into sensitive and kind-hearted human beings.

The Test of True Love and Obedience to the Prophet ﷺ

The Test of True Love and Obedience to the Prophet ﷺ

My respected teacher of Bukhari Sharif, resident of Baqi, Hazrat Aqdas Maulana Islam-ul-Haq Sahib (may Allah have mercy on him), shared a valuable insight during a lecture on Bukhari Sharif: that love is truly tested at the time of conflict and confrontation. For instance, you may superficially feel that you love your wife more than your mother, but when a conflict arises between them, the actual reality will be revealed as to whom you love more. Similarly, the true state of one’s love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ is also known at the time of conflict. If one's parents, wife, or children commit a disrespectful act against the Holy Prophet ﷺ, observe what the condition of your heart is at that moment. I was submitting that my respected mentor (Hazrat) stated: Alhamdulillah, the love for Allah's Prophet ﷺ exists in the heart of every believer and is greater than everything else. Neither love for parents, nor for children, nor for wife, nor for anyone else is like this. Then the question arises: if love is greater than everything, why is there a lack of obedience? This is because there is a principle: تَعْصِي الرَّسُوْلَ وَأَنْتَ تُظْهِرُ حُبَّهُ هٰذَا لَعَمْرِي فِي الْفِعَالِ عَجِيْبُ لَوْ كَانَ حُبُّكَ صَادِقًا لَأَطَعْتَهُ إِنَّ الْمُحِبَّ لِمَنْ يُحِبُّ مُطِيْعُ You disobey the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and also profess your love for him, claiming "I am a lover of the Prophet" — this is a strange and astonishing thing. If your love for the Prophet ﷺ were true, you would definitely obey him, because it is a rule that a lover always acts according to the will of the beloved. Giving an answer to this, my mentor (Hazrat) said that this spark of love has been buried under the ashes of unlawful desires, sensual pleasures, material ties, worldly interests, and negligence towards the Hereafter. The love is there, and it is greater than everything, but it has been buried under the ashes of desires and heedlessness. Draw it out a little, blow upon it the wind of the remembrance of Allah (Zikr-e-Ilahi), and then witness its warmth. The spark of love for the Prophet ﷺ inside the heart beneath the ashes will turn into a fire and begin to blaze. And when it blazes up, its brilliance and fragrance will spread throughout the entire world. ___________📝📝___________ (Book: Rahmat-ul-lil-Ameen ﷺ ki Chamak aur Mehak Page Number: 28-29-30 Author: Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Saleem Dhorat) Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
