Jalaluddin Suyuti was advising his devotees: "There are seven things that can humiliate any human being: (1) Arriving at a feast/invitation uninvited. (2) Sitting in a gathering at a place that is higher than one's status and position. (3) Dictating to or commanding the host while being a guest. (4) Interfering in the conversation of others. (5) Addressing people who are not ready to listen. (6) Befriending a person of bad character/ill-repute. (7) Seeking help from a stone-hearted and greedy wealthy person."
