New Delhi: Delhi is on high alert today due to a protest demonstration by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) against the NEET paper leak and CBSE mark sheet controversy. The administration has finally granted conditional permission to the protesters to agitate at Jantar Mantar until 5 PM. Party founder Abhijit Dipke from America and renowned social activist Sonam Wangchuk from Ladakh have reached Delhi to participate in this protest. Right after leaving the airport, Abhijit Dipke waved a book by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and headed towards the Sansad Marg Police Station along with his supporters.
Reason for Protest and Current Situation:
Demand for Education Minister's Resignation: Protesters are demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. They allege that instead of making strict laws regarding the paper leak issue, the government is merely completing formalities by transferring officials.
Tight Security at Jantar Mantar: Heavy deployment of Delhi Police and CISF has been made. Barricades have been placed on the routes leading to Jantar Mantar. A crowd of youth is gathering holding the Tricolour and photos of Babasaheb Ambedkar in their hands, while strict restrictions have been imposed on the entry of media.
