In the era of Hazrat Sulaiman (peace be upon him), a person bought a beautiful bird. Whenever it chirped, its highly captivating and cheerful voice made the person very happy, as if the bird's voice was extremely melodious and lovely. One day, suddenly, another bird just like it came near the cage, spoke a few things in its own language, and left. The bird inside the cage became completely silent, as if it had become a mute bird. Its owner waited for two or three days, but the bird remained absolutely silent... That person brought the bird along with the cage to the court of Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.) and complained, "I bought this very expensive bird; its voice used to delight me, but now I don't know what happened, it doesn't speak at all!" Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.) (who knew the speech of animals, beasts, and birds) asked the bird, "What is the reason that you have become silent?" The bird submitted, "O true Prophet of Allah! This person thinks I chirp out of happiness, but the reality is that I weep looking at other free birds, wishing that if only I were free too, how wonderful it would be. But since he does not understand my language, he imagines that I am singing with great joy. Then one day, a fellow bird of my species came to me and said, 'This person does not understand your language; instead, he thinks you are chirping happily with a very melodious voice. If you want to be free from his captivity, stop weeping and stop crying out for help, because your words have no effect on him since he cannot understand your pain.' That was it; since then, I have become silent and am practicing patience." Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.) said to the person, "Open the cage and set it free, because now it will never speak in the cage." The person said, "If it is going to remain silent now, what will I do by keeping it unnecessarily?" Therefore, following the command of Sulaiman (A.S.), he opened the cage. The bird immediately flew away, sat on the branch of a tree, chirped something while looking at the person, and flew off. The person requested Hazrat Sulaiman (A.S.), "What did it say before leaving?" He (A.S.) replied, "It said that if you too want to be free from your sorrows and afflictions, become silent and practice patience. Do not complain to anyone, and one day you will get deliverance from all the griefs that you keep sharing with people, whereas those unfeeling people, despite knowing your language, do not listen to your words." This is a parable. Do not fall into the debate of whether it is true or false; lessons and morals are derived from such parables. __________📝📝__________ Narrated. Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
