The King, the Vizier(Minister) and the Three Conditions

The King, the Vizier(Minister) and the Three Conditions

Once, a king offered to give half of his kingdom to his vizier, but he also imposed some conditions. Driven by greed, the vizier requested to know the conditions. The king stated the conditions in the form of three questions: Question No. (1): What is the greatest truth in the world? Question No. (2): What is the greatest deception in the world? Question No. (3): What is the sweetest thing in the world? The king ordered his vizier to find the answers to these three questions within one week; otherwise, he would be sentenced to death. To find out the greatest truth in the world, the vizier first gathered all the intellectuals of the country and asked them for the answers. They counted their respective good deeds; someone's deed turned out to be big, and someone else's small, but the greatest truth could not be discovered. After that, when the vizier asked to know the greatest deception in the world, all the intellectuals began to think about the deceits they had committed, discussing who had deceived whom the most. However, the vizier was not satisfied with this either, and out of fear of the death penalty, he disguised himself and fled from there. As he kept walking, night fell. Meanwhile, he spotted a farmer digging the ground with a trowel. The farmer recognized the vizier. The vizier told him his problem, hearing which the farmer gave the answers to his questions like this: The greatest truth in the world is death. The greatest deception in the world is life. Before giving the answer to the third question, the farmer said, "If I give you the answers to all your questions, what will I get? The kingdom will come into your hands." Hearing this, the vizier offered him twenty horses and also offered to make him the supervisor of the stable. Hearing this, the farmer refused to answer. The vizier thought that he was dreaming of half the kingdom. As the vizier was about to leave, the farmer said, "If you run away, you will keep running all your life, and the king's men will keep chasing you, and if you return, you will be put to death." Hearing this, the vizier stopped and offered half the kingdom to the farmer, but the farmer refused to accept it. Meanwhile, a dog came, drank half of the milk kept in a bowl, and left. The farmer said to the vizier, "I don't want half the kingdom; just drink this leftover milk, and I will tell you the answer to your third question." Hearing this, the vizier writhed in anger, but out of fear of his death and the spies, he drank the milk. After drinking the milk, the vizier looked at the farmer and asked for the answer to his question. The farmer said: "The sweetest thing in the world is human self-interest (motive)." ___________📝📝📝___________ Narrated. Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
