Administering a glucose drip.

Administering a glucose drip in the state of fasting does not invalidate the fast. This is because the glucose water or medicine enters the body through the veins; it does not enter through the natural orifices (pores/openings), and does not directly reach the internal cavity (Jawf). However, without a severe excuse (valid reason), a glucose drip should not be administered in the state of fasting, because this is against the wisdom of fasting. (Kitab-un-Nawazil/Vol:6/Page:368)

The Academic Debate of Imam Abu Bakr Baqillani (R.A) with a Christian Monk

The famous debater of Islam, Imam Abu Bakr Baqillani (may Allah have mercy on him), was visited by a Christian monk. During the conversation, the Christian monk said, "Are you Muslims racists?" Imam Abu Bakr Baqillani asked, "How so?" The Christian monk replied, "In your religion, if a Muslim man wants to marry a Christian or a Jewish woman, it is permissible. However, if a Christian or a Jewish man wants to marry your Muslim women, it is not permissible. This is exactly what your racism is." Imam Abu Bakr Baqillani replied, "In our religion, marrying a Jewish woman is permissible because we believe in the Prophet of the Jews, Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him). Similarly, marrying a Christian woman is permissible in our religion because we also believe in the Prophet of the Christians, Hazrat Isa (peace be upon him). Respected Monk! When you people also bring faith in our Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), then it will become permissible for you to marry our Muslim women as well." Hearing this, the monk was left dumbfounded. (Book: Monthly Dawat-e-Deen Karachi, October Page: 25 Narrator: Islamic Tube Pro App)
