To fulfill this passion, he built a bungalow right in the middle of his vast and sprawling garden... Those who saw it said, "It is a bungalow only in name, but in reality, it is a palace." Nawab Sahib intended to inaugurate it with great pomp and show. In view of this intention, cleaning was underway. The decoration work was in its final stages when, during those days, the marriage of the daughter of a poor man residing in Muzaffarnagar was fixed. The groom's family said, "We will bring a hundred people in the wedding procession (Barat)." The bride's family was worried about where they would accommodate the procession. In those days, marriage halls did not exist. The poor father was lost in this worry when a wise well-wisher said, "I can tell you a place to accommodate the wedding procession, but if..." The poor father looked at his well-wisher with surprised and questioning eyes and asked, "But... if what?" "If your luck is good and Nawab Muzaffar Khan agrees." "What do you mean?" "It means that the new bungalow built by Nawab Sahib is completely vacant... He has not moved into it yet... It won't be an issue if your daughter's wedding procession stays there for a day or two. Cleaning is already going on anyway." Nawab Sahib was a kind-hearted and benevolent man who cared for the poor. The girl's father presented himself in the service of Nawab Sahib and, with great humility, put forward his need. Nawab Sahib made a firm face and said, "I will give the bungalow, but there is one condition." "Sir! I am a poor, helpless man... how can I fulfill your condition? However, I will obey whatever you command," Karim Bakhsh, alias Karimoo, said with folded hands. Nawab Sahib smiled and said, "For as many days as the wedding procession stays, three meals a day will be provided from my side." Tears of gratitude welled up in Karim Bakhsh's eyes. Wiping his tears with the corner of his turban, he said, "Nawab Sahib! You have bought me. Even if I sacrifice my entire life, I cannot repay your kindness." Nawab Sahib said, "Miyan Karimoo! Now the inauguration of my bungalow will be done by your daughter's wedding procession. Take these keys, and wherever further cleaning is needed, do it yourself." The wedding procession stayed in the bungalow for two days. At the time of departure, every member of the procession, including women and children, was gifted a suit of clothes by Nawab Sahib. When the procession departed, Karim Bakhsh, with eyes brimming with gratitude, came to return the keys to Nawab Sahib. Nawab Sahib handed back the bunch of keys and said, "Miyan! We have gifted this bungalow along with the garden to your daughter; in fact, we gave it the very moment you came to ask for permission to accommodate the procession."
