Accounts of the Death of Some Pious Predecessors:

Accounts of the Death of Some Pious Predecessors:

1. The great scholar of Hadith and master of dream interpretation, Imam Muhammad bin Sirin (RA), was weeping at the time of his death and saying, "I am weeping over the shortcomings of my past life, the lack of deeds that lead to Paradise, and the scarcity of deeds that protect from Hell." (Kitab al-Aqibah / 69) 2. The famous jurist and scholar of Hadith, Ibrahim Nakha'i (RA), was weeping at the time of his death and saying, "I am waiting for the messenger of my Lord; I do not know if he will bring me the glad tidings of Paradise or the news of Hell." 3. Hazrat Abu Atiyyah al-Mazbuh became anxious at the time of death. People asked, "Are you afraid of death?" He replied, "Why should I not be anxious? This is a moment when I do not know where I will be taken (Paradise or Hell)." 4. Hazrat Fuzail bin Iyad fell unconscious at the time of death. When he regained consciousness, he said, "Alas! The journey is long and the provisions are very few." (Kitab al-Aqibah / 70)
