Hazrat Yusuf and Musa: Quranic Comparison and Reflection

Hazrat Yusuf and Musa: Quranic Comparison and Reflection

When Hazrat Yusuf was put into the well, Hazrat Musa was also put into the water. Hazrat Yusuf was in Egypt, and Hazrat Musa was also in Egypt. Hazrat Yusuf spent his life in a palace, and Hazrat Musa was also raised in Pharaoh's palace. Those who picked up Hazrat Yusuf also had no children, and those who picked up Hazrat Musa also had no children. Those who picked up Hazrat Yusuf also said: "عَسٰۤى اَنْ یَّنْفَعَنَاۤ اَوْ نَتَّخِذَهٗ وَلَدًا" It is not unlikely that he may benefit us or we may adopt him as a son. (Surah Yusuf: 21) Those who picked up Hazrat Musa also said: "عَسٰۤى اَنْ یَّنْفَعَنَاۤ اَوْ نَتَّخِذَهٗ وَلَدًا" It is not unlikely that he may benefit us or we may adopt him as a son. (Surah Al-Qasas: 9) Regarding those who picked up Hazrat Yusuf, it was said: "لَا یَعْلَمُوْنَ" they do not know. Regarding those who picked up Hazrat Musa, it was also said: "لَا یَشعُرُون" they do not perceive the consequence. Hazrat Yusuf's brothers said: "اقْتُلُوْا یُوْسُفَ" Kill Yusuf. Regarding Hazrat Musa, Pharaoh said: "ذَرُوْنِیْۤ اَقْتُلْ مُوْسٰى" Leave me so that I may kill Musa. (Surah Al-Qasas: 26) Yusuf's brothers played a trick and it failed. "فَیَكِیْدُوْا لَكَ كَیْدً" (O Yusuf!) they will plot a trick against you. Against Musa too, those who raised him played a trick and failed: "وَمَا كَيْدُ الْكَافِرِينَ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ" And the plot of the disbelievers is nothing but to end up not reaching the goal. Hazrat Yusuf also found a friend in prison who later became the cause of getting him out of prison. Hazrat Musa also found a friend who became the cause of his departure from Egypt to Madyan. Regarding Hazrat Yusuf, it was said that We bestowed upon him wisdom and knowledge, regarding Hazrat Musa also it was said that We bestowed upon him wisdom and knowledge. Hazrat Yusuf was tested by being given beauty, and Hazrat Musa was tested by being given strength. Despite such a deep resemblance, when Hazrat Musa invited Pharaoh and his followers, they said: "مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهٰذَا فِیْۤ اٰبَآئِنَا الْاَوَّلِیْنَ" And we have not heard this among our forefathers. (Al-Qasas: 36) From this statement of the people of Pharaoh, it seems as if they are telling the truth and really they don't know anything and no prophet had come among their forefathers. But in Surah Al-Mu'min verse number 34, Allah Almighty says that a believing man among the people of Pharaoh said to them: "وَ لَقَدْ جَآءَكُمْ یُوْسُفُ مِنْ قَبْلُ بِالْبَیِّنٰتِ فَمَا زِلْتُمْ فِیْ شَكٍّ مِّمَّا جَآءَكُمْ بِهٖؕ-حَتّٰۤى اِذَا هَلَكَ قُلْتُمْ لَنْ یَّبْعَثَ اللّٰهُ مِنْۢ بَعْدِهٖ رَسُوْلًاؕ-كَذٰلِكَ یُضِلُّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ هُوَ مُسْرِفٌ مُّرْتَابُ" And the fact is that before this, Yusuf came to your (forefathers) with clear proofs. Even then, you remained in doubt about what he brought. Then when he died, you said that Allah will not send any messenger after him. Thus Allah leaves astray all those who transgress the limits and are doubters. Subhan Allah! What a beautiful style! What a beautiful plan of our Lord! In what an excellent way the links of the caravan of goodness are connected! Time is limited, the Quran is an ocean, the pearls are innumerable, how and from what aspects should we reflect upon the Quran? I wish there was no other occupation in the world, just to ponder and reflect upon the words of the Lord. O Gracious Lord who revealed the Quran! In Paradise, surely explain to us the meanings of Your words so that we can be satiated from this boundless ocean. _____📝📝📝_____ Copied. Selection Islamic Tube Pro App.
