If distances hesitate to meet us - Iqbal Azeem If distances hesitate to meet us, we too are not helpless, nor are we without support; We shall call upon him ourselves from afar, if our feet grow weary along the way. We will set out all alone in Madinah, and intentionally lose ourselves in its streets; Once we go there, we shall never return, and people will grow weary searching for us. The moment the Green Dome comes into view, the manner of our devotion will change; Who will have the leisure to bow their head? Tears of prostration will naturally fall from the eyelashes. Wherever the Master's name is invoked, wherever his remembrance is made; Hearts (chests) will be filled with pure light (Noor), and divine splendors will flash across the entire gathering. O pilgrim of Madinah, for God's sake, do not relate the tale of your journey to me like this; The longing will grow, the heart will writhe in pain, and my guarded tears will spill over. His merciful eye is well aware of it—which traveler possesses how much passion for the journey; Whenever we receive permission, O Iqbal, we too shall reach the court of the Master.
