This deer, whose picture you are looking at, is a real image… Its horns were large, beautiful, and strong — a symbol of pride! But one day, these very horns ruined it. The horns got tangled in iron wires, The deer kept struggling, but could not get free… It died a painful death! And the predators tore at its flesh as far as they could reach. The thing that is our strength, if pride enters into it, that very thing becomes the cause of destruction. The horns were meant for protection, but pride made them the source of death. Therefore, in this world, one should not be arrogant about their apparent strength, which is a blessing bestowed by Allah, but rather express gratitude, otherwise one will have to face humiliation in this world and humiliation in the Hereafter as well. *There is a Hadith of the Prophet (ﷺ):* *"The person who has an atom's weight of arrogance in his heart will not enter Paradise."* *(Sahih Muslim)* Adopt humility, not pride… Because the one who bends is saved… And the one who stiffens with arrogance gets trapped and destroyed! May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to keep patience during afflictions, hardships, and worries, and to express gratitude for His blessings. Ameen.
