O people of the world! Know that you too have to die one day. After death, you have to be resurrected and reach the reward or punishment for your good and bad deeds. Therefore, do not boast about living for a few days in this world and never forget death. The world is a house of affliction; its transience is well-known, and deception is its hallmark. The end of everything in it is decline, and for it to remain with anyone forever is impossible. When a person finds a little comfort in it, years of grief appear in return for it. Death is hanging over everyone's head, and tasting it is mandatory for all. O servants of Allah! Today, your state in this world is just like the people before you, who were greater than you in age, stronger in power, vast in population, and superior in dwellings. But due to the revolution of time, today not even their voice comes out. Their bodies have rotted in graves, cities have been deserted, and houses have collapsed. Once there were magnificent palaces, round bolster pillows, and velvet carpets, and now there are stones and bricks, the dust of the grave, and the corner of the tomb. Do you have any doubt that your state will be just like theirs? Won't there be the same loneliness, and won't this body become food for worms in the dust? Verses: We used to adorn ourselves so that the eyes of the whole world would look at us, Little did we know that our gatherings would witness mourning! What a tyranny it is for the robe of existence to be separated from this body, It is a tight garment; it will eventually come off in shreds! The more it increases, the more it decreases, Life cuts away all by itself. When I looked closely at the state of the world, I witnessed the resurrection of this place every single day.

The Wealth of Wisdom: The King and the Wise Old Woman

The Wealth of Wisdom: The King and the Wise Old Woman

A king had announced that whoever said something wise and good would be rewarded with four hundred dinars (gold coins)...!!!! One day, the king went out to look after his subjects. He saw a ninety-year-old woman planting olive saplings. The king said, "You will pass away in five or ten years, and these trees will bear fruit after twenty years, so what is the use of toiling so hard?" The old woman replied, "The fruits we ate were planted by our elders, and now we are planting so that our descendants may eat...!!!!" The king liked the old woman's remark and ordered that four hundred dinars be given to her...!!!! When the dinars were given to the old woman, she began to smile...!!!! The king asked, "Why are you smiling???" The old woman said, "The olive trees were supposed to bear fruit after twenty years, whereas I have received my fruit right now...!!!!" The king liked this remark of hers as well and issued an order to give her another four hundred dinars...!!!! When the woman was given another four hundred dinars, she smiled again...!!!! The king asked, "Why did you smile now???" The old woman said, "An olive tree bears fruit only once in the entire year, whereas my tree has given fruit twice already..!!!!" The king again ordered that she be given another four hundred dinars. Immediately upon giving this order, the king hurriedly departed from there...!!!! The vizier asked, "Your Majesty, why did you leave so quickly???" The king said, "If I had stayed with that woman any longer, my entire treasury would have become empty, but the woman's wise words would not have ended...!!!!" A good word wins hearts, a gentle attitude turns even an enemy into a friend, a wise sentence brings even kings closer. A good word increases friends and decreases enemies in this world, and multiplies rewards in the Hereafter. You can buy goods with wealth, but the purchase of a heart can only be done with a good word💯!!
