🌸 The Wealth of Both Worlds...!!!

During the era of Hazrat Imam Shafi'i (R.A), there was a man who had no children. In his old age, a daughter was born to him.

In the excess of his joy, he swore an oath, saying: "I will give her the wealth of both worlds in her dowry." He said it, but as the time of her marriage drew near, he became deeply worried, thinking, "Who am I, and what is my worth? How can I possibly give the wealth of both worlds to my daughter?"

In this state of anxiety, he visited every scholar, asking what he should do and how he could be freed from his oath, but he found no answer anywhere. When he presented his case before Imam Shafi'i (R.A), the Imam listened and said: "There is a very simple remedy for your oath.

O man! Impart the education of the Holy Qur'an to your daughter. Then, at the time of her departure, place the Holy Qur'an under her arm and send her off. By Allah! You would have given the wealth of both worlds to your daughter in her dowry, and you will be freed from your oath."

This is that Divine Speech by whose blessing, grandeur, mercy, and grace, sweet water flows even from dry rocks...!
