*🖋🌹💠 Lesson-Giving Story 💠🌹🖋* *👈 The Worshipper and Satan __!!* There was a pious man in a village who worshipped Allah SWT a lot and disliked disbelief (Kufr) and polytheism (Shirk). There was a tree in that village, and some villagers used to worship it. When some people informed the pious man about this, he became very angry and set out to cut down the tree. On the way, he met Satan, who was in the form of a human at that time. Satan asked him, "Hey mister! Where are you going?" He replied, "There is a tree at such-and-such place, people worship it, I am going to cut it down." Satan tried to misguide him, "Brother! You do not worship it, so what harm is it doing to you? Do not cut it." The man replied, "I will definitely cut it." A fight broke out between the two over this matter, and the pious man slammed Satan to the ground. Satan said, "Let me go, I want to talk to you." So he released Satan. Then Satan said to him, "Look, the truth is that cutting the tree will not bring you any benefit; therefore, do not cut the tree, and we will give you two dinars (two gold coins) every day, which is to your benefit." The man asked, "Where will I get those coins?" Satan replied, "When you wake up in the morning, take them from under your pillow." The man agreed to this and returned from there. When morning came, he actually found two dinars (two gold coins) under his pillow, and he was very happy. But the next morning, he found nothing under his pillow. He got angry again and set out to cut the tree. On the way, he met the same Satan again. Satan asked, "Hey mister! Where do you intend to go?" He said, "I am going to cut down that same tree." Satan said, "You cannot cut it." Saying this, Satan slammed the man to the ground, climbed onto his chest, and began to choke him. Then Satan said to the man, "Do you know? I am Satan. The first time you set out to cut the tree, your purpose was to please Allah; therefore, you slammed me down. But now, you have come out to cut the tree because you did not get the two dinars. Now your intention has changed; that is why you are in this state today." [ Talbees-e-Iblees: 1/ 30, 31 ]

How Great a Blessing Faith Is

How Great a Blessing Faith Is

Hazrat Maulana Peer Zulfiqar Ahmad Naqshbandi narrated an incident that in 1994, when he had the opportunity to visit Samarkand, he delivered the Friday sermon at the Jamia Masjid of Samarkand. After the Friday prayer, a few young men came to me and said, "Hazrat! Please come to our house, our mother wants to meet you." I excused myself, saying, "There are so many people present here, how can I leave them and go there?" The Grand Mufti of Samarkand was standing right next to me. He said, "Hazrat! Do not refuse them, I will also go with you; it is necessary to visit their home." I said, "Very well." So, after meeting with friends, we set off. On the way, the Grand Mufti began to tell me that the mother of these young boys is a Mujahida (struggler) and a firm believer (Mumina). When the communist revolution came, she was a twenty-year-old young girl at that time. Since then, seventy years have passed, making her ninety years old now. Allah Almighty bestowed upon her such a strong faith during the communist era that while a flood of atheism arrived on one side, this young girl on the other side used to preach to young girls to remain steadfast in religion. She would debate with them for hours and bring them to faith by making them recite the Kalimah. We used to worry that this young girl's life was in danger and that these atheist soldiers would ruin her honor and hang her. Therefore, we would advise her, "Daughter, you are young, it is a matter of your honor and life, do not preach Islam so openly to people." But she would say, "My honor and life are not more precious than Islam. If my life is accepted in the path of Allah Almighty, what difference will it make?" Therefore, she continued to preach openly to women, to the extent that hundreds of women repented from atheism and became Muslims again. We were always in fear for her. All the scholars were worried, wondering what would become of this girl? Who knows which day she would be sent to the gallows and be stripped and humiliated in front of everyone. But she did not falter; she kept preaching religion to them. She continued preaching the religion for seventy years and became the cause of thousands of women accepting faith. Now she is sick, old, and lying on a cot. Someone told this woman about you, that a scholar has come from Pakistan, and she wished to speak with you, which is why I said you should not refuse. When this humble servant heard this, my heart was filled with joy that since she is such a righteous servant of Allah, we should also request prayers from her. When we reached their house, we saw that her cot was placed in the courtyard and she was lying on it. The boys placed a thin sheet over her. We stood about one meter away from the cot. As soon as I entered, I offered Islamic greetings (Salam). After greeting, I requested, "Amma (Mother)! Pray for us; we have come to your service to receive your blessings and prayers." When I requested this, she raised her hands from inside the sheet and in an old, frail voice, the very first prayer she made was: "O God! Keep my faith (Iman) safe." Believe me, tears welled up in our eyes. That day, we realized how great a blessing faith is, that a woman who labored for seventy years on her faith, even now when she prays, the first thing she says is: "O God, keep my faith safe..."
