A dangerous accident has occurred near Medina involving a bus of Umrah pilgrims. According to initial reports, there is a fear that 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims have lost their lives.

According to details, a passenger bus collided with a diesel tanker while traveling from Mecca to Medina. The accident took place at 1:30 AM (Indian Time) at a place called Mufrahat.

According to initial reports, it is feared that women, children, and several pilgrims from Hyderabad are among those deceased and injured. It is being reported that 20 women and 11 children were also on board the bus.

The pilgrims were traveling toward Medina Munawwarah after performing Umrah, and most of the passengers were asleep at the time of the accident.

According to local sources, the death toll is stated to be 42, however, final confirmation from the authorities is still awaited.

Rescue teams are present at the accident site and relief operations are underway. Further details are awaited.
