It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that the teacher of teachers, Hazrat Maulana Qamar Usmani Sahib (may Allah have mercy on him), Professor of Hadith at Darul Uloom Waqf Deoband, has passed away a short while ago after a prolonged illness. Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

The demise of the deceased Hazrat is a great loss for the academic and religious circles. Allah Almighty had blessed him with an extraordinary status in the service of the science of Hadith and the propagation of religion.

May Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of Hazrat, bless him with a noble place in the highest stages of Paradise (A'la Illiyyin), and grant beautiful patience (Sabr-e-Jamil) to the bereaved family.😢

The Status and Advice of Hazrat Yahya bin Mu'adh (R.A)

The Status and Advice of Hazrat Yahya bin Mu'adh (R.A)

Hazrat Yahya bin Mu'adh (may Allah Almighty have mercy on him) was someone who had complete mastery over spiritual realities and subtleties. Regarding him, some elders say that just as Hazrat Yahya bin Zakariya (peace be upon them) holds a position among the Prophets, Hazrat Yahya bin Mu'adh (may Allah Almighty have mercy on him) holds a similar status among the saints of religion. Due to his deeply moving sermons, he was known by the title of "Al-Wa'iz" (The Preacher). One of his brothers lived as a caretaker (Mujawir) in Makkah al-Mukarramah, and he wrote from there saying, "I had an intense desire for three things: First, that I get an opportunity to reside in a sacred place; Second, that I have a righteous servant to serve me; Therefore, both of these wishes have been fulfilled. Now, the third desire is that I meet you once before passing away. This is my heartfelt wish; please pray to God that He, with His ultimate power, fulfills this desire too." Hazrat Yahya (may Allah Almighty have mercy on him) wrote back in response, "A human being should be blessed in himself so that by his blessings, his place of stay also becomes blessed. The second thing is that you should have become a servant yourself rather than being the master (served one), for the true glory of a human lies in servitude. The third thing is that if you were not heedless of the remembrance of God, I would never have crossed your mind. Therefore, in the remembrance of the Divine, one should forget brothers, sisters, wife, and children. If you cannot please God through your worship in this world, then meeting me is also useless." (Tadhkirat al-Awliya: Page 173) Khwaja Majdhoob says: In Your remembrance, may I forget everyone, may no one remain in my memory, Upon You, may I sacrifice my entire household, may the house of my heart remain inhabited. May I set fire to all happiness, may my heart remain delighted with Your sorrow, May I cast everyone away from my sight, may my only plea remain with You. Now, until my final breath, let this be the chant on my tongue, O my God: La ilaha illallah, La ilaha illallah. ------------------------------------------------------- Book: Aslaaf ki Yaadein (Page: 227-228) Author: Hazrat Maulana Mufti Asadullah Umar Numani Narrator: Islamic Tube Pro App
