Assalamu Alaikum Islamic History Part Number 5 Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalam) Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalam) is the first human being from whom the lineage of humans living in the world began. Before preparing his clay, Allah Ta'ala said to the angels: "Soon I am going to create a creature from clay who will be honored with Our vicegerency (Khilafat) on the earth." Accordingly, the clay of Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalam) was kneaded, then Allah Ta'ala breathed the soul into it, and at that very moment, he became a living human being. The angels were commanded to prostrate (Sajdah) before him, so all the angels fell into prostration in obedience to the command of Allah Ta'ala, but Satan refused due to his arrogance and pride and said: "I am better than him, because You created me from fire and created Adam from clay." In this way, by disobeying Allah's command, Satan became deserving of Allah's curse forever, and from that very moment, he became the enemy of Hazrat Adam (Alaihissalam) and his offspring.
