In life, we are fighting on multiple fronts—home, work, and relationships, each carrying its own responsibilities and expectations. Our family members do not understand our daily struggles and workplace pressure, and our job remains oblivious to our personal life and household needs. Friends, colleagues, and loved ones also do not always fully comprehend the burden of our new and old responsibilities. In this journey of life, your spouse expects unconditional love and support from you, no matter how much pressure you are under, and no matter how much you try to make them understand. Your every step and every sacrifice often go unnoticed, and this is something that mostly no one sees or understands. The condition of your heart and the sacrifices hidden in your silence remain concealed from the majority, but despite all this, you move forward with steadfastness every single day. ❤️‍🩹

A Leader Like No Other: The Exemplary Humility of Hazrat Salman Farsi, Governor of Mada'in

A Leader Like No Other: The Exemplary Humility of Hazrat Salman Farsi, Governor of Mada'in

Hazrat Salman Farsi (R.A.) was a great companion (Sahabi) of the Prophet. Among all the companions, he lived the longest life. He used to serve everyone and lived a very simple life. During his caliphate, Hazrat Umar (R.A.) appointed him as the governor of the city of Mada'in. However, due to Hazrat Salman Farsi's simplicity, newcomers could not even recognize that he was the governor of Mada'in; instead, considering him an ordinary man, they would even take services from him. Despite being the governor, Hazrat Salman Farsi would serve them without any hesitation or shame. Once, Hazrat Salman Farsi was walking on a street in Mada'in like an ordinary man. A merchant from Syria was coming to Mada'in to sell his trade goods. Seeing Hazrat Salman Farsi, the merchant mistook him for a laborer; therefore, he called him and said, "Carry my luggage and take it to such-and-such place." Hazrat Salman Farsi, without any shame, picked up the merchant's luggage and started walking. After a while, when the citizens of Mada'in saw Hazrat Salman Farsi carrying the luggage, they said to the Syrian merchant, "Hey! He is the governor of Mada'in! And you are making him carry your load?!" Hearing this, the merchant panicked and, feeling deeply ashamed, began pleading with Hazrat Salman Farsi, "Sir! I could not recognize you; hence, this disrespect occurred. Please forgive me and give the luggage back to me, I will carry it myself." But Hazrat Salman Farsi was not ready at all to take the luggage off his head; instead, he said, "I have made an intention to perform a good deed, and until it is completed, I will not put this luggage down." Then, he delivered the goods to the merchant's destination. (Tabaqat Ibn Sa'd al-Basri: 5/68) ___________📝📝📝___________ Narrated. Selection: Islamic Tube Pro App
