Saudi Arabia has executed more than 100 foreigners, including 21 Pakistanis, so far this year.
According to the French news agency (AFP), this number of executions this year is nearly three times higher than the figures for 2023 and 2022.
In the past two years, Saudi authorities had executed 34 foreigners each year for various crimes.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a Yemeni citizen was executed on Saturday in a drug smuggling case, bringing the number of foreigners executed in the Kingdom this year to 101.
According to the report, most of the foreigners executed this year were convicted of drug-related offenses.
