Malfooz: Being Naive is Not a Perfection *Malfoozat-e-Hakeem-ul-Ummat Mujaddid-ul-Millat Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Ashraf Ali Thanvi Rahmatullah Alaih* *Being Naive is Not a Perfection* He stated: Understand well that the most perfect among the elders (spiritual masters) is the one whose state resembles the Prophet ﷺ the most. And no Prophet was naive; all the Prophets who came were extremely intelligent and alert-minded. Therefore, the more perfect will be the one who is extremely intelligent; being naive is not a perfection. How will a naive person understand anyone's deception? When he cannot understand the deception of a human, how on earth will he understand the deception of Satan? Because Satan's deception is more severe than human deception. Reciting invocations (Wazifa) is another matter, but what is called training (Tarbiyah) cannot be done by a naive person. The training and reformation (Islaah) of others can only be done by someone who is extremely intelligent and alert-minded; therefore, Allegiance (Bai'at) should also be made with such a person after careful selection.
