June 15, 2025, Uttar Pradesh A heart-wrenching road accident took place on the Purvanchal Expressway in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh, where an ambulance, which was carrying a dead body from Delhi to Samastipur, Bihar, collided with a pick-up van loaded with fish. Five people were killed and one seriously injured in the accident. Accident details The accident took place at 5:30 am in the Bazar Shukla police station area. The ambulance driver fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle and collided with the pick-up. The deceased include two drivers, Sarfaraz (Nalhar, Haryana) and Abid (Ferozpur, Haryana), and three passengers, Rajkumar alias Satish Sharma, Ravi Sharma, and Phulo Sharma (Samastipur, Bihar). The injured person, Shambhu Roy, was shifted to the district hospital.
