June 16, 2025, Amroha A massive explosion broke out in a firecracker factory located amidst fields on the Amroha-Utrasi road in Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon. Four women died on the spot, while nine people, including a man, were seriously injured in the accident. The sound of the explosion was heard for a kilometer, shaking the surrounding area. According to Amroha Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar Anand, the details of the incident are that the factory belongs to Saifur Ahmed, a resident of Hapur. District Magistrate Nidhi Gupta Vats and police officials reached the spot immediately after the explosion. The injured were admitted to the district hospital, while the bodies of the deceased were sent for postmortem. An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the explosion.
