Today, October 16, the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) will hold the ‘Lahra Do Tiranga’ march to hoist the national flag at Central Park in Connaught Place, Delhi. The party has appealed to people to arrive with the tricolour at around 5 PM. In view of the march, Delhi Police has warned people to stay away from the protest.
The march is being held to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), and oppose the sending of Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das to judicial custody.
Permission May Be Granted to 11 People
According to Delhi Police Deputy Commissioner Neha Yadav, a group of 11 people may be allowed to take the Tiranga to Central Park, hoist it, and sing the national anthem, but they will have to comply with the prescribed rules and conditions.
Section 163 of the BNSS will remain in force in Connaught Place and the surrounding areas. The police have appealed to people to comply with the prohibitory orders and stated that necessary action will be taken to prevent disturbances and protect public and private property.

The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has closed Central Park to the general public on October 16 and 17. Meanwhile, more than 25,000 police and paramilitary personnel will be deployed in New Delhi and the surrounding areas. Delhi High Court Refuses to Stop the March
