Bengaluru: Police on Friday arrested four officers of RCB and event management company DNA Entertainment Private Limited in connection with the stampede that killed 11 people during the Victory Parade held after the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the IPL 2025. On the other hand, social activist HM Venkatesh also filed an FIR against Virat Kohli. **Arrests and court proceedings** The Additional Chief Metropolitan Court in Bengaluru sent RCB's Marketing and Revenue Head Nikhil Susale, DNA's Vice President of Business Affairs Sunil Mathew, Senior Event Manager Kiran Kumar, and Ticketing Operations Lead Sumanth to 14-day judicial custody. Susale was arrested from Kempegowda International Airport. He challenged his arrest in the High Court, but the case was adjourned till June 9 after it did not get immediate relief. **FIR and Investigation** Bengaluru Police Commissioner Sumanth Kumar Singh said that arrests have been made in connection with the incident outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The case has been handed over to the CID, but some legal Formalities are being completed. Two more FIRs have been registered against RCB, DNA, and Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) based on complaints from two victims. **Government Actions** The Karnataka government has removed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's political secretary MLC K Govindraj from his post and transferred Intelligence Department's Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Hemant Nimbalkar following the incident. Earlier, Siddaramaiah had suspended Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayanand and four other senior officers. **Relief from High Court** The Karnataka High Court has granted interim protection from arrest to top KSCA officials. Justice SR Krishna Kumar restrained the police from arresting KSCA officials till the next hearing.
