The Flood of Comforts and the Death of the Soul A story that began with mice… and reached humanity. If a creature is given every comfort — abundant food, safe housing, peace, and no danger — will it always remain happy, prosperous, and progressive? This question was placed before the world by an American biologist, John Calhoun, in 1970 through a shocking experiment on mice. Calhoun created an ideal environment: no shortage of food or drink, spacious housing, and no enemies. There, he left only four pairs of mice. In a short time, their population grew rapidly. In this "paradise" full of peace, comfort, and facilities, everything was perfect… but then something strange began to happen. After 315 Days: The rate of reproduction began to decline, the social structure started to collapse, and behaviors such as violence, isolation, mental illness, abandonment of offspring, and even cannibalism emerged among the mice. Some mice began to live a completely purposeless life — no fights, no relationships, no breeding… they just ate, slept, and passed the time. And Then: Despite having everything, this ideal world collapsed. No one attacked, no calamity struck, no shortage occurred — simply, the purpose of living was lost. The last mouse was born after 2 years… and then nothing was left except death. This experiment was repeated 25 times, and every single time the result was the same: A comfort-ridden society, a life without purpose, and then total destruction. Something to Think About: Are comforts, luxuries, and security alone the guarantee of a human's or a society's success? Or do we require a "purpose", a "struggle", and some challenges to live? Allah Almighty Says: "And if Allah had extended [excessively] provision for His servants, they would have committed tyranny throughout the earth. But He sends it down in an amount which He wills, as much as is appropriate." [Surah Ash-Shura: 27] Life is not just the name of comfort… rather, it is the name of responsibility, sacrifice, and struggle. The society from which all of this vanishes, no matter how comfortable it may be… begins to die from within. In reality, hardships, scarcity, and struggle keep a human balanced, strong, and alive. If ease goes unchecked, it opens the door to destruction.

Double Standards in Marriage Proposals: The Painful Reality of the "Rishta" Culture

Double Standards in Marriage Proposals: The Painful Reality of the "Rishta" Culture

In our society, when looking for a marriage proposal for a son or a brother... The girl's beauty, her innocence, her domestic skills, her lifestyle, her education, her family background, her dowry, her share in the property, and her entire history from birth to youth—with verification—become mandatory conditions. On the other hand, for the boy, merely having a job is considered more than enough. Neither his looks, nor his character, nor his behavior, nor his circle of friends, nor his relationship with his family, nor his past affairs matter; just one job covers up a hundred of his flaws. And the biggest tragedy is that when people go to visit someone's daughter or sister's house, they send a message beforehand saying they are coming to "see the girl." Imagine what the girl goes through at that moment! Dying a thousand deaths inside her heart and mind, desperately praying, overthinking, and driven nearly crazy with anxiety... "What will happen? Will I be liked or not? If I am not liked, what will people say? Even if I am liked, what kind of people are they? What will the boy be like?" A thousand such questions cross her mind. To top off this ignorance, those people invite other women from their family, and the girl is asked to walk a few steps in front of everyone. It is just like inspecting sheep and goats in a cattle market by making them walk a few steps to see if they are a good fit. They go and inspect her room, eat and drink at her house, and upon returning to their own home, they casually drop a message: "Sorry, we didn't like the girl!!" People like this should be thrown into a boiling cauldron of oil! O oppressors!!! Do not agree to the proposal ten times over if you don't want to, but you can always visit the girl's house under some other pretext first. Do not officially bring up marriage until you are sure you like her. She is a girl, not an angel! Not a fairy! She is a simple, innocent human being who has emotions, dreams, and self-respect. For God's sake, do look for fairies for your "moon-like" sons, but not by finding faults in someone else's sister or daughter, not by earning their sighs of grief, and not by inviting their curses! ___________📝📝📝___________ Narrated.
