June 18, 2025, Mangalore A horrific car accident took place on Tuesday night near Japinmogru on National Highway-66 in Mangalore Karnataka. The speeding car hit the divider and overturned, killing NSUI leader Om Shri and Mangalore resident Amal Rao. Three people, including a foreign national, were injured. According to the police, the car was going from Talpadi to Mangalore at a high speed when the driver lost control. Locals informed the police, who immediately reached the spot. The injured Vashmi and Ashiq were admitted to the ICU of a private hospital, while the foreign national was discharged after sustaining minor injuries. Both the deceased were affiliated with the Congress party. The police have registered a case and started a preliminary investigation.
