All passengers were instructed to disembark at 5:50 am after a technical fault was detected in the engine. The captain made this decision with safety as a priority. Air India has started alternative arrangements. 241 people died in the crash of flight AI-171 in Ahmedabad on June 12, which has created fear about air travel.
